Day 40: Girls Spa Day (2/9)

Today, my Grandma, Mom, and sisters spent the day getting pampered. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the six of us. {What was I thinking?!} So I took a screen shot of the spa we spent the day at. We had three treatments: an hour massage, a facial and a vichy shower.

Before we went to the spa, we went out to lunch at Chili's {Grandma's choice} and then headed to the spa where we spent almost 4 hours getting pampered.

It was amazing!

I've had a massage before but the facial and the vichy shower was new to me. I enjoyed both but the vichy shower was great. They rub you down with exfoliating salt and then you lay under sprays of water. It leaves you feeling clean and amazing.

I will definitely be trying it again. {Maybe talk Rennie into a day together! :)}

What a wonderful treat!

Day 35: Surprise Trip to Stroud (2/4)

Dana called me up this morning and asked what I was doing today. Of course, I had nothing planned because it was Monday. So she wanted to know if I would like to meet in Stroud and surprise my mom with a visit. Of course, I said yes.

I can't believe the weather in Feburary. It's beautiful and the kids wore off some energy outside. Even the twins enjoyed some sunlight, something they are probably unfamiliar with so far in their life. Dad came home and pushed the kids on the tire swing.

Dad also made some chicken wings and fries for dinner and Dana made bomb brownies that tasted more like a molten cake {yum!}

At the end of the day, I changed all the kids into their jammies and drove home.

What a wonderful day with family.

Day 34: Super Bowl Sunday (2/3)

My parents, Sami and Garvis came over to watch the game. We had lots of great food {my cupcakes included!} and had a wonderful time watching the game together and visiting.

The game was between the San Fransico 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. Rennie and I had a bet on the game and I was rooting for the Ravens to win. They did and I get a 10 minute massage! It was a fun night and enjoyed my family and the food.

During the game, Gavin got bored and decided to take some pictures of his own. I complied some and added them to the frame below. My mom and Rennie had more fun with it than Garvis and my dad. :)

Day 12: Visiting Stroud (1/12)

My dad sent me a text Friday morning, "Ribs for dinner tonight. You coming?" So I decided that I would pack up the twins and head to Stroud to eat dinner and stay the night. {Rennie and Gavin had plans to go to a Bedlam basketball game in Norman today. See pictures below.} This was the first night that it would be just me and the twins. I texted my mom and said that I would only come if she could plan on helping me through the night. Of course, she said yes.

Sami and Garvis were there and we enjoyed a relaxing weekend. I ended up staying Saturday night {not my plans} because of raining sleet and I didn't want to drive home in it. The divide and conquer nightly routine that we have going is a life saver and didn't realize this until I stayed at Stroud. The first night was exhausting and the second night wasn't so bad but it's much better the way we spend our nights at home.

Day 5: Family Christmas Dinner Out (1/5)

My parents decided last year that instead of gifts for us and our others, they were just going to take us all out for drinks and dinner.

This year we went to Bonefish Grill in Tulsa. It was delicious! It's always so much fun to spend time with my family.

Day 61: Babinec Family Celebration (12/31)

Happy New Year's Eve!

This year instead of presents for Christmas my parents decided to take everyone out to a nice dinner. We all met at Red Rock Cannon for drinks, dinner and dessert. It's become difficult to everyone to get together at once, so many schedules to figure out. And just finding babysitters!! It was a nice night with family and food. A perfect way to end the year!

Day 48: Day with the Babinecs (12/18)

I am horrible! No pictures were taken at the party but afterwards the kids took a bath in Grandma's jacuzzi and I had to take a picture.

There has to be pictures of us in Grandma's jacuzzi floating around somewhere when we were younger, probably this age!

Day 153: Haircuts and Celebrations (10/22)

Gavin received his first haircut from Aunt Sharman today. He did very well and enjoyed his time at Aunt Sharman's shop. We love heading to Stillwater and seeing family, Gavin is so lucky to have so many people in his life that love him so much.

After the haircut, we went out to dinner with Sharman, Brad, Mamaw, Marv, my Mom and Dad, Grandma Schluge, and Sami Jo to celebrate Rennie's 35th Birthday which is actually tomorrow. After we ate Sharman took this family photo of us.

After dinner, we went to OSU's Homecoming Walkaround. It was a great day. I couldn't ask for a better life.

Day 110: One day I am going...

One day I am going to have a wall with all my family hang up for all my friends and family to admire. I love my dad and mom's hallway.

So does Gavin. He can be held for minutes (long time for Gavin!) and been shown all the different people in our family. It's a great wall. :D

Day 100: DOG! (8/30)

After our trips home from the City whenever we pull up my parent's driveway, the first thing Gavin does is point out the window and say "DOG!" I'll say,"No, goat!" and after saying it three or four times he starts to say goat.

Everything that is an animal is a dog to Gavin!!

It's so fun to watch him run over to the fence so he can see the goat and today the cows walked up to us and Gavin pointed and said, "DOG!"

PS- Yea!! I made it to 100 days! OK, OK so the last twenty-ish weren't my best work but I took pictures and published them. Here's to 100 more!!

Day 74: My Mom and Dad (8/4)

This is such a great picture of my parents, Monica and Gary.

After I took it I said, "OK, now a real one."
My dad said, "What? Was that not a real one?"

Haha, so typical of my dad.

I love them so much for so many reasons. Right now, I want to take the time to say a, Thank You to them for all the support they have shown my family in our time of confusion. It's been a busy and hectic summer but I am so glad that I got to spend it at my parents house. :)

Day 70: Matching Babies (7/31)

Sami and Gavin are matching babies!! Both are wearing their tie-dye shirst that we made with the Morris family.

Day 39: Summer Nights (6/30)

I love that at 8:46 PM (that's a fact, because I checked the exact time when I took the picture) the sun still hasn't set. This is my favorite thing about summer.

During the winter, I hate getting out of school and having two hours before it's pitch black outside.
Granted it is harder to lay down Gavin for the night but I would not trade the effort for the extra hours of sunlight.

I also wanted to include a few pictures of my parents yard:

They both work so hard on the yard. I never realized how much work goes into maintaining a home, maybe because I've never owned a home. They are outside every day working on something. It's amazing how wonderful the yard looks and how much they have to work at it.

I love the Babinec stone. I hope that one day, we can own a home and have a Nickell rock outside our home. The flowers bloom all summer making the yard that much more beautiful. The pond is something my mom has been wanting and working on for years. She loves the pond, I love the natural rock surrounding the area.

One day, my yard is going to be just as wonderful.

Day 33: Uncle Greg's Birthday (6/24)

This is my cousin, Ava. She is my dad's brother's daughter. It's really not that hard to figure out but it seems that a lot of people (maybe just Oklahomans) like to give a family tree explanation for each relation.

I like just cousin.

Today or rather tonight (does it really matter?!) my family went to Uncle Greg and Aunt Shanda's home to celebrate my uncle's 42nd 29th birthday. They have two daughter's Allisha (who is in high school) and Ava, she's four. There is a wonderful story about how Ava came into the family and I would like to tell small part of it.

My aunt wasn't feeling well. She was having stomach pains and thought that she had some kidney stones. She went to the doctor and told about her about the pain. (Apparently, it's routine to run pregnancy test on all women under a certain age, whether they claimed to have started/gone through menopause.) After she was checked out and test(s) were ran, the doctor comes back to tell her surprise, surprise she's pregnant. But not only is she pregnant but she's SIX MONTHS pregnant.

Aunt Shanda tells the story much better but this is a public site and I don't want to go into detail about other people's life. But she always ends it the same, "Now I know why God gives women nine months because three months is not enough time!"

Back to my post, (I seem to be wandering more and more lately. Maybe that's why some of my posts are so long) we all enjoyed an evening of family and fun. With family sometimes so close it's hard realize how much you don't get together. It seems that after each get together we always say, we need to do this more and this was fun.

I have a few more pictures from tonight that I want to share. I really couldn't chose just one!
