Day 99: Butterfly Footprints (4/9)

I saw this project on Pinterest and thought I would try it. I loved how it turned out. What a great keepsake and so easy. Gavin loved helping with the twins and their footprints.

Day 83: Last day of Spring Break (3/24)

Last night one of my friends from school called me and asked if I would paint with her at Art of the Heart. I said sure and we painted a picture called Splash of Poppies. It was fun but one of the harder paintings I've done!

We also colored Easter Eggs. Gavin was sooo excited. The twins of course didn't have a clue but it's still fun to pretend. I always enjoy coloring eggs and next year we are going to have to do more than a dozen because everyone is going to want to color!

Day 70: Nail Art (8/11)

I can do anything fun or relaxing between the hours of 7 pm to 12 am. Other than that I am busy with twins or sleeping. :)

Day 33: Newborn Pictures (2/2)

These are just a few of the newborn pictures we had taken when the babies were six days old. They turned out wonderfully even though the session went horribly.

The photographer posted on Facebook looking for newborns twins for a cheap session. She was located in Arkansas City but it would only cost me $40 for every proof and no sitting fee. I couldn't turn it down. So my  mom and I drove the two hours to Ark City and the babies slept the whole way.

Once we got there they needed to sleep throughout the session but that did not happen! They cried for almost 4 hours straight only stopping to eat. My mom was ready to be done 2 hours into the session but I was sure they would wear themselves out! I was soooo wrong. The photographer was so patient but after 4 hours, I stopped it and said, "I'm done!" and as soon as we put them in the car they slept all the way home.

She was able to get 27 great pictures and I {MIGHT} have done it all again for these pictures!

Day 31: Visiting Tree (1/31)

One of my friends had twins and I saw this sitting in their twins room when we came to visit and I loved the idea. So I made one of my own. I had the canvas and I went to Hobby Lobby and bought two Sharpie paint pens {brown and blue} and then three stamp pads.

A few weeks before the babies were born I drew the tree on the canvas. I used my laptop and a projector and traced it from a tree I liked on the internet. I waited to add the names and the date until the day before the twins were scheduled to come.

As people visited us in the hospital and the first weeks at home, we had them add their finger prints to the tree. They also signed their name. I choose orange, red and yellow as the leaf colors because the babies were born during the season when leaves are falling off the trees. {My friend had green leaves but her twins were born in the spring.}

I have this hung up in the babies room and I love the way it turned out!

Day 167: Egg Dying (4/7)

At first, Gavin was a little unsure about dying eggs.

However, he jumped right in and loved putting the eggs in the colors and pulling them out with his hands.

We dyed eggs at Nana and PopPop's house so it didn't hurt that PopPop was helping out. The crayon confused him at first because, "It's not coloring!"

I love dying eggs and always make my own. I'm an artesst!! :)

Day 152: New Tattoo (3/23)

I finally talked Rennie into another tattoo for me!

I say that like I have to ask for permisson which is by no means how our relationship works! I just kept saying, "I want a tattoo for Gavin." and he kept saying, "What happens if you have another baby then another tattoo? Where does it stop?" I guess he doesn't think I would stop if I got another one.

When we were in Branson, there was a nice tattoo parlor and apparently I stared at it every time we went by it. I guess I used Rennie as an excuse to not get a tattoo because when Rennie pulled in and said, "Check out how much it cost." I got so damn nervous!!

So without preperation I got a tattoo. I knew exactly what I wanted so it wasn't hard. I was going to get it on my ankle but Rennie suggested on the top of my foot and I said, "Go for it!" It's a little more showy then where I planned to get it but I LOVE it!

Day 139: Iron Works (3/10)

Thanks to my Mom and Dad for the top piece of art work.

In the last two days we have added new art to our walls. The piece over the bed is a perfect accent for such a large bed. It fits perfectly and just our style.

The bottom piece is huge!! We used to have all sorts of pictures on that wall but we changed it up and added the art piece and our new family picture. It's the first picture from the left. I love changing things around in our home.

Day 123: Nail Art (2/23)

A while back my mom gave me all her "old" nail polish that has been in the house and no one uses. I love doing my own nails and this was a design that I enjoyed.

Day 80: How to Color (1/19)

Today we pulled out the crayons and colored pencils to draw. I don't leave them within Gavin's reach for just in case reasons. When I came back with the coloring books, this is how I found the colored pencils. All lined up and facing the same direction. I love my kinda OCD child. :)

Day 73: Gavin's Gift (1/12)

Gavin made me this fruit-loop necklace at his babysitters today. He was so excited to give it to me! I am going to wear it for the rest of the day and maybe tomorrow to school.

Day 51: Addicted to Pinterest (12/21)

I was sick all day today. Like literally didn't get out of bed until 1o'clock only to make it to the living room to fall asleep again. I played on my phone most of the day and spent a majority of it on Pinterest. It's a great website that people pin ideas on all sorts of things. I took screen shots all day so that I could remember some of my favorites. These are only four of many...

PS I made the cinnamon rolls in the waffles maker and they were a hit in my house. I didn't eat them, still sick but definitely be doing it again!!

Day 37: True Life Fortune (12/7)

Without going into any details {because some things just do not need to be on the internet} this fortune was in my cookie today. It's kinda spooky when things like this happen but my fortune will be followed.

Day 121: Color Accents for the House (9/20)

Today after school, I decided to window shop for a bit. I found this store call Kirlands that had some really nice stuff for reasonable prices.

I found this piece and really enjoyed the colors on it. I thought I could use it to accessorize my living room. However, when I should Rennie he said, "That is one ugly piece!"

Lordy, I hope that we don't have trouble agreeing on decor!

Day 120: My Mom Comes Home (9/19)

Today,  my mom came home from her two week trip with Grandma Schluge. After Grandpa passed away, my grandma wanted to get away for awhile and Mom went with her. They went North to Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.

One of my uncles have a place in Paradise, Michigan. Mom said that it was beautiful (with a name like Paradise, I am sure they have some high standards!) They travel to the shore of the Michigan lake and collect some beautiful stones.

My mom is forever collecting stones. She is so crafty that she is able to make the most boringest (is that a word?) look the most interestingest (again is that a word?) with a few stones or items she has collected.

It's nice to have her home again.

Day 110: One day I am going...

One day I am going to have a wall with all my family hang up for all my friends and family to admire. I love my dad and mom's hallway.

So does Gavin. He can be held for minutes (long time for Gavin!) and been shown all the different people in our family. It's a great wall. :D

Day 109: New Kitchen Table (9/8)

Ever since we found out that we are able to buy the home we have been working toward, we have done nothing but try and figure out how to get nice furniture in without breaking the budget!

We are in the process of building our first home!!

I am so excited! We have been moving around since we have been married. We both decided that The City (Oklahoma City for the people that dont' live in Oklahoma!) was were we wanted to settle down and raise a family.

We kind of just lucked into this amazing home that is almost finished. We got in at just the right time to pick out all the neat stuff like: stain on the wood, paint color, granite colors, tile and carpet! It couldn't of worked out any more perfect.

So in all of this we are trying to find furniture to match. We can't afford to buy everything right way but Rennie and I found out that Mathis Brothers puts furniture on lay-a-way with no interest!! Which is perfect for us because we can't buy it now, no place to store it and we can't buy everything and have the new expense of the house.

So this is the table that we have picked out for the kitchen/dinning area. It's a little different but the shape and benches will had just enough to our place for it not to be so boring!

Day 61: Our Tie-Dye Project (7/22)

The girls (Shae, Jill and Sami), Dave and I made tie-die shirts today.

Not pictured is the two little onesises that I made for Gavin!!

It was fun and so easy. Some turned out better than others but they are all neat.

Tie-Die is a fun and easy project. One that I may do more often now.
