Day 49: New Frozen Earrings (7/13)

Rallie loves Frozen! What little girl doesn't? However, she calls it Door because in the song "love is an open DOOOR!" she wasn't talking yet but door was easy to say, so it suck. We went to the mall yesterday and into Claire's for new earrings. We got to packs of colorful studs but Daddy found these Frozen earrings and Rallie loved them. Out of Anna and Elsa, she chose to wear Anna first. They are quite a bit larger than her normal size earrings we put in her. She loves them!

Day 41: Lunches (7/5)

I can't explain the amount of food we use daily. It's going to be even crazier as they grow! I can't even imagine.

Day 30: Grocery Shopping for Six (6/24)

This is probably a little more than two weeks' worth of food. I wish I did better about going every two weeks but I get busy and just don't want to go. It's crazy how much our kids eat and I can't imagine what it's going to be like when they are full blown eaters. Right now they get smaller portions however they are getting bigger and bigger and they are asking for second plates. This food bill is going to be outrageous soon.

Day 25: Rallie's Bed (6/19)

We decided that we would take the front rail off of Rallie's crib this week. She climbs out the crib very easily so we thought we would save her some trouble and just make her crib into a day bed. She was so excited when she saw it. I guess she had to fall asleep testing her boundaries!

Day 23: Big Girl (6/17)

First day, all day without a diaper. Rallie insists on wearing big girl panties! I have to say that girl's are much easier to potty train than boys. Wes isn't even interested. Rallie will be potty trained before the summer's over! She's growing so fast.

Day 21: "Gavin, piggy ride!" (6/15)

Gavin has learned to give Rallie and Wes piggy back rides. Throughout the day, one or another will call out for Gavin. "Gavin, piggy ride!" They will stand on the couch and Gavin will back up and they will jump on. Gavin takes them around the house and I hear them laugh and it makes my heart happy. I love that they love each other so much.

Day 15: Gavin and Eisley (6/9)

Rallie and Wes have a special bond, so it warms my heart tremendously that Gavin and Eisley have a special relationship. It's hard to explain because right now it's just little things that Rennie or I notice about them. I can only give you examples of things we notice.

When Gavin wakes up (which is usually later than Eisley) and comes out of the room, Eisley screams and runs to him, she hugs him and puts her head up to him for a kiss.

When Eisley wakes up from a nap and Gavin goes in first. She jumps up and down and babbles something excitedly.

If Eisley's crying and I can't get to her right way, Gavin is usually there to sooth her until I do.

When Eisley gets in trouble and goes to her room, Gavin follows her to comfort her.

Eisley is always included when Gavin is around.

When sitting on the couch the first place that Eisley chooses to sit is next to Gavin.

Eisley is defiantly the baby in our family and treated as such but she and Gavin have a special relationship that I am thankful for everyday.

Day 11: Lighting Bugs (6/5)

Last night, Gavin's neighborhood friends were trying to catch lighting bugs and he asked for a jar so he could catch some. After an hour of trying he came in crying because he couldn't catch any bugs. I told him that tomorrow I would help him catch some. I told him the best time to try would be right when it starts to get dark.

Today, when it was dusk, Gavin came in and reminded me and we got a big jar. At first he wanted to catch just one but after catching on rather quickly, he decided he need four. I taught him how to catch them and put them in the jar. It was so fun. Rennie even came outside to watch and helped find them. We did catch the four that Gavin wanted and when we were coming back to the house Rennie asked Gavin what he was going to do with the light bugs and Gavin said, "I'm going to let them go." Rennie asked when and Gavin said right now. He opened the jar and let them out.

Gavin is such a kind hearted kid. He didn't even want to keep the lighting bugs in the jar for very  long because they didn't have food. I can't imagine any other kid working so hard to catch the bugs only to let them go minutes later. He just wanted to catch them. He amazes me with the thoughts that go through his head and how kind and loving he is.

Day 5: Nothing Done Today (5/30)

Some days having four kids under 5 is overwhelming. There are days just getting breakfast on the table, then getting dressed, only to play inside for a bit before it's nap time. It's all exhausting. There are days, where I can do it and go to the zoo by myself, load and unload them multiple times and have so much fun and then there are days like today, where I might not be able to get ready for the day until almost 11. Rennie and his friend Martin are working on our back yard make over (that's a whole other post.) Essentially it's just the kids and me today.

Rallie loves the camera. She will take a picture and then say, "I see." and then giggle and say, "Another." She definitely has some personality and a lot like her dad: stubborn and a know it all. Love her little curls and free spirit. Rallie always watching out for her Wessie and loves her blankies and thumb. Such a sweet girl.

Day 117: Thrasher's Birthday (4/27)

Today, Thrasher (better known as Cort) turns two today! I can't believe this little handful is already two. It seems like just yesterday I was driving to Enid to sit while Dana had her c-section. I love the antics of Thrasher, he is so much fun to be around. What a great kid!

Day 116: Scootin' Boogie (4/26)

Wes loves to move around by scooting on his back. I think he likes the way it scratches his back. Poor baby. However, he does laugh and get all excited when he moves around the room.

Day 109: Belly Time (4/19)

My babies like to spend most of their time on their tummy. They are playing with toys and noticing so much of their surroundings. I really enjoy laying on the flor and playing with them every night. I can't believe how fast time if flying. Seems like just yesterday that they were born...

Day 102: Wes Rolls Over! (4/12)

My little fattie finally did it! Wes rolled over. When I expressed my concerns the doctor about Rallie phsyically being ahead of Wes, she looked at Wes and said, "I wouldn't lift my head often if it was that big either!" Oh my sweet baby boy, but he sure is a talker. LOVE!

Day 93: Big Boy (4/3)

We pulled out bigger toys for the babies. They love sitting up and are growing so much. Rallie has more fun in this but Wes looked so much cuter! They are growing so fast.

Day 82: Rice Cereal (3/23)

Rice cereal is in our close future. I thought I would prepare with a box and new spoons. We are hoping that this will help get the twins through the night or at least sleeping longer than what they are now!

Day 65: Bumbo Seat (3/8)

All that belly time is starting to pay off for Rallie! She is sitting like a big girl at just 3 months. However, she can't sit there for very long she starts to lean but she does much better than Wes who only sees the floor if he sits in it. :D
