Day 37: Science Museum (7/1)

Today, Aunt Sami and Uncle Garvis met the kids and I at the Science Museum. This is the first time Rallie, Wes and Eisley have been there. Gavin went once before however he was very young, probably Eisley's age. It was so much fun, if not a little exhausting. The kids loved it. There was so much to do and play with. However, I think that they will enjoy it so much better the older they get; maybe after they are able to read. After the museum, we went out to Applebee's by this time the kiddos were ready to eat and we were breaking down a little. As always, a big thanks to Uncle Garvis and Aunt Sami for tagging along and hanging out with my crowd at the museum. It's always fun, unless it's not.

Day 19: Uncle Garvis & Aunt Sami (6/13)

Aunt Sami & Uncle Garvis came to visit after coming home from their honeymoon. We had so much fun and I wish I would have gotten a picture of the kids with them but I didn't so I am using the Snapchat that Sam uploaded to her story. They came over and brought our {the kid's} favorite lunch of McDonald's and then we had nap time while Sami and Uncle Garvis told us about their honeymoon and stories about the wedding. When everyone got up, we went swimming and then had dinner. After all the kids went to bed the boys went outside to talk and Sami and I stayed inside. It was a fun day and I am so happy that they are so close!

Day 1: Summer 2015 (5/26)

This has or was my diary for years of my babies lives. Four to be exact. I went back this week and read and watch Gavin grow up and the birth of my twins, Rallie & Wes through my words and the daily pictures.  As I read, I relived those times in our life and Eisley was no where to be found. My plan was always to write this blog until I didn't want to anymore, then print it off for my children to look back on and see their beginnings. I couldn't finish it and print if off now without adding some of Eisley to my diary. So I thought starting it this summer with day one was as good as any.

There are four babies now and retelling the story of how that happen would take pages and if you know me you've probably heard it more than once. So short version, I am working as a sixth grade math teacher at Mayfield Middle School. Rennie is in his first year as high school and middle school principal at Hinton Public Schools. Gavin went to PreK at Hinton this year, however he will start at Mustang Valley this August. Rallie, Wes, and Eisley stay home with our nanny. That's a quick version of our daily lives. This summer I am staying home with our babies and Rennie works at school during most days. So here goes our first day of summer. 

Sami and Thomas just got married! May 23, 2015.

Day 114: Uncle Garvis' Glasses (4/24)

 

 

Gavin came out of Uncle Garvis' room, "Mom, look what I found! Uncle Garvis' sun glasses. They make everything funny!" Oh no, hurry lets put those back before Uncle Garvis finds out!

Day 77: Damn Candy Crush (3/18)

This game drives me nuts and I started playing well before Sami and Garvis. They have passed me and I am stuck on this dang level. I started play when I went of bed rest and have continued while breast feeding {it was a great way to stay entertain when you're stuck feeding!} I don't get to play as much as I used to but I enjoy it just the same.

Day 53: Garvis the Babysitter (2/22)

We needed a babysitter today and Garvis graciously offered us his service. We had talked a few days before and I wanted to make sure he thought he could handle it. It's scary knowing that there are two babies and you'll be by yourself. I wanted to make sure he was ok with that.  He even offered to keep Gavin at the house. Usually, Gavin goes to daycare and the twins stay home with a babysitter.

Garvis must of been feeling brave and I tried to talk him out of keeping Gavin too. Alas the baby whisper {as he calls himself!} didn't need much help. He had the twins sleeping in their own crib at one point. A feat I was proud of when I accomplished it myself.

He said it all went well but I do love that he said, "I've decided that anybody born with twins she should be automatically assigned someone to help, like a nannie."

I totally agree, sometimes two hands isn't enough. At times, when I get one baby down, I think to myself if I only had one I could relax but then the other child starts to cry or needs something and off I go again!

At times I use this blog as a diary so I am going to say this: raising one baby sounds so much easier after having twins. I know when I had Gavin, it was difficult and I thought I would never sleep or rest again but now with twins, Gavin as a baby was a breeze and I never realized it!

Day 178: Stinky Diaper (4/18)

A huge thanks to Garvis for dropping everything at 9:30 last night to come to OKC and watch Gavin for the day. He even broke a 19 year record on stinky diapers and it stank!! 

Thank you Garvis we couldn't ask for any body better to be with Sami right now. We appreciate everything you do for our babies. :)

Day 12: Aunt Sami and Garvis Visit (11/12)

I got a text from Sami last night asking me what were doing tonight. I replied with nothing and asked if she and Garvis wanted to come over and stay the night. The OSU game was on this morning at 11 am and Rennie wanted to watch the game with them.

So they came last night and we have been having a great day. Rennie made breakfast and I made queso for the game. We also had some homemade salsa and little wienies.  

Gavin loves Sami and Garvis! He has had new playmates all day today. He didn't even take a nap because he didn't want to miss a minute.
