Why oh why do I do this to myself? I usually wait until they are all asleep to clean the toy box out but I decided to just go all in today while they were around. I immediately regretted my decision and had to finish it up when they went to nap.

Day 69: Playing & Sleeping on Sunday (8/10)
This what our Sundays are beginning to look like: everyone hanging out in the living room playing or sleeping. At least we are all together and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Day 9: Scout & Violet (1/9)
Meet Scout and Violet, they were Rallie and Wes' Christmas present from Santa. They are great for a couple of minutes of free time. They play lullabies and white noise sounds. They also light up and keep the babies attention for about two minutes. Hopefully the older they get the more useful Scout and Violet will be. :)
Day 3: Baby Toys Make a Comeback (1/3)
Baby toys are making starting to litter the living room floor. We brought this out today and laid the twins in it. They were ok with it for a bit but got bored quickly. Actually, Gavin enjoyed it more. He played with it for most of the night and even made it into a tent. Silly boy.
Day 157: My Guys are Flying (3/28)
We literally can't go anywhere without handfuls of guys. Superheros.
The last few days has had some wonderful weather so I have been driving with the windows down.
Today Gavin yelled, "Look Mommy, my guys are flying!"
Love him and his guys.
Day 140: Ava's Birthday Party (3/11)
Today was Ava's 6th Birthday party at an indoor pool in Cushing. All the kids had such a blast. They are getting so much older and its so fun to hang out with them.
A HUGE thanks and shout out goes to Garvis!! Some adults didn't want to get in the pool with some of the kids, so Garvis took over! YEA!!
Later when we got home Gavin was playing with his guys and lined them all up and insisted on taking a picture with his guys. I was happy to oblige!! He looks so serious!
Day 134: Gavin's Choice (3/5)
Me: "Gavin, what do you want to take a picture of today?'
Gavin looking around: "Uhhhhhh, this!"
THIS being a piece of trash!!
Me: "Ok." Pretend to take picture. "What else do you want to take a picture of?"
Gavin: "Table!!"
Me: "Sounds good." I quickly take a picture. "This time go pick one of your favorite toys."
Gavin: "Ok." Runs to his room. "Gavin found it!"
Me: "Show me!"
Gavin: "SUPERHERO!"
Day 88: Things that go Bump in the Night (1/27)
Does the punching bag look scary to you?
Of course not but how many times have I walked out of my bedroom at night and been started by it?
At least three!
Day 56: A Jumpy Jump (12/26)
I honestly don't know who is crazy, my mom and dad or better yet Nana and PopPop or Rennie and I! We are so lucky to have such wonderful family members in our life. Gavin is so blessed by both sides of the family but sometimes I ask myself {in a very good way and with a smile of my face!} "What were they thinking?!" First, Susan and Brian started Christmas with a wonderful drum set and then my mom and dad topped it off with a mini-trampoline {which in our house is called a jumpy jump.}
Then to top it off Rennie and I decided to set it up in the extra bedroom for the winter!! We set it up without Gavin knowing what we were doing and then had him close his eyes and be surprised when he saw it. Check out the video at the bottom of the my post.
However, now whenever Gavin wants to jump he also wants to re-enact the surprise part of the gift. He will now call us over and put his hands over his eyes and stand in front of the door and then say, "Surprise!" He has done it everyday without fail!
Day 55: Merry Christmas! (12/25)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Santa Claus came to our house last night!!
He brought a city train set. It was so fun to see Gavin's expression when he saw what Santa brought him. After, that we headed to Stroud to spend some Christmas time with my family. Nana and PopPop bought Gavin a mini-trampoline!! There will be a blog post coming with video about this gift. We decided to set up the trampoline in the extra bedroom! BEST PARENTS EVER?! I think so...
Day 141: Gavin's Toys (10/10)
As Gavin grows, so do the toys! We are rotating his toys so that it seems there is always something new, this is half of his stash. :)
Day 56: Silly Bandz (7/17)
I am sure that if you have kids or you work with kids you know what Silly Bandz are. (Of course, I had no idea of the official name, I had to Google it before I started my post.)
It seems like every kid and most teenagers are wearing one or two now adays. I have seen some adults wearing them, even some men.
They are rubber bands that are special shaped. You wear them on your wrist and they never lose their shape. Silly Bandz come in tons of shapes and colors. It's a pretty creative idea. There is no rhyme or reason to the Bandz, they are just cool!
You're just supposed to wear them on your wrist. You can trade them with friends and get all kinds of different shapes. I have always wanted a few but I thought, "I am 27 years old and I am not walking into a store to buy Silly Bandz!"
So the next best thing, steal one from a girl!!
OK I didn't actually steal it from Taygen. She kinda gave it to me or I made her feel bad and she gave it to me in guilt! Either way, I got my first Silly Bandz!
When I went to Walmart today, I came across the display of Silly Bandz and stood looking at it thinking of an excuse to buy a set. Of course, now I owe Taygen one!! So I bought a set of Body Parts Silly Bandz, only because I have to pay her back!
Taygen is the daughter of a fellow softball player. Her mom has become a friend of mine, who is also doing a Project 365 with a blogspot blog. Natalie took pictures all day yesterday and posted some on her blog: Welcome to Graham Central Station. I actually "borrowed" the following picture of Taygen and me!! Thank you Natalie, I hope that you don't mind!!
PS I haven't always stolen from this wonderful family, Taygen gave me the Silly Band!! OK, OK maybe I did steal the picture, but it's a great picture. :)
Day 15: Unending Mess (6/6)
Staying at my parent's house we have combined Nana and PopPop's toys with ours so there is an excessive amount of toys. When the kids play (whether it's one or all three), the bucket of toys HAS to be turned over and the ALL of the toys are pulled out.
Although it never ceases to amaze me that each child will dig through the piles and always pull out the same toys over and over again!
By the time someone has picked up the bucket of toys it probably gets dumped back out within the hour. It's a constant, unending job!
