I LOVE my Vera Bradley bag that Sami got her bridesmaids as a gift. I carry it every where. It's the perfect size for either a diaper bag or an overnight bag. And blue is my favorite color and I don't have any monogramed items so it's supper fun. Thanks, Sami Jo!!

Day 26: Iced Coffee (1/26)
I LOVE my Keurig. I got it for my 30th {!!} birthday and have used it almost everyday since then. I love the English Breakfast Tea, the Donut Shop coffee and I found this French Vanilla Ice coffee. It's brewed over ice and I add milk and sweetener and I sip on it all day. Now if only I could find it a Carmel Iced coffee I would be in heaven!!
Day 13: Grip on the Paci (1/13)
Wes is learning to love his paci. I don't mind that it helps him to calm himself either. Let's see if this is a passing fad or he will take to it.
Day 132: Winning!! (3/3)
I was supposed to go to dinner with a friend at In The Raw which is a sushi restaurant in Bricktown. {Hopefully there will be a picture of that soon on my blog.} So when that fell through, I called my mom and asked if she want to go to In The Raw with me or meet at the FireLake Casino.
She, of course, choose to go to FireLake!! :)
I like to play the slots. And I usually only bring $20 because its enough to spend and last a long time. I can usually play $20 for a couple of hours. I never really bring more except on special occasions so tonight was no different.
However, I was a little lucky tonight and walked out with some winnings. Whaa-Whoo!!
Day 92: Family on a Diet (2/2)
GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!!
Who doesn't love them?!
You would never know that our family is on a calorie counting diet with the amount of cookies we brought into our house. Rennie hauled home the bottom four boxes and I laughed!
Emily- "You too? I bought two boxes"
Rennie- "Really? Why?"
Emily- "I was helping the girls out at school."
Rennie- "Baby, we really need to talk about these things."
Now we have six boxes of cookies in our house...
Day 33: OkState are Big 12 Champs (12/3)
The final minutes of the game and the fans rushing the field.
What an exciting night! As far as facts go Oklahoma University {ou} has dominated the Bedlam series. The record is 46-16-1 {now 17, thank you very much!} Nobody, not even Pokes are arguing that fact, but this year Oklahoma State is the better team. The Cowboys clobbered the sooners by a score of 44-10. It's an amazing feat with so much history against us. Oklahoma State has won their very FIRST BIG 12 Championship. Way to go, Pokes! We are forever proud that we won that game and in the fashion we did. It's fitting that the winningest team in Oklahoma State football history with a record of 11-1 was the first team to be Big 12 Champs.
-----------------
Enjoy my pictures below because Rennie and I enjoyed the experience so damn much!
GO POKES!!
The new lettering! I heard that it was ready for the KanasState game but OkState waited until the Bedlam game to reveal it. Awesome!
The bands preformed a tribute to Budke, Serna and the Branstetters who were killed in a plane crash in November. They played Amazing Grace, it was a sight and sound to behold. Wonderfully done Oklahoma bands.
The fans taking the west end goal post out.
Rennie and I watched the fans storm the field and then pull out the goal posts before we made our way down onto the field.
My proof I was on the field!

Day 28: Beginning of Bedlam Week (11/28)
Yesterday I posted this as my Facebook status:
Rennie and I have planned to wear OSU shirts all week to school. I have a few teachers at school who are uo fans {I love you all except during Bedlam week! :D}
As always Rennie is up, around, and dressed before I even think about getting out of bed. My morning routine is as follows {except on days I take morning showers, I like night showers better}:
6:30 am - Rennie alarms goes off. He is up and in the bathroom!
6:45 am - Rennie comes out of bathroom and says, "Emily, it's 6:45."
6:50 am - I start to move around and wake Gavin up to head to the
babysitters.
7:00 am - Rennie and Gavin are close to heading out the door. I am
still in my PJs!
I have the next half hour all to myself as I get ready for school!!
7:30 am - Out the door and on my way to school.
So I usually don't see the inside of my closet until sometime after Rennie and Gavin have left. This morning in the closet was Rennie's OSU shirts. All four of them {he was already wearing one!} all pulled out and set aside. So I put mine up too! However, I can almost guarantee that Rennie's shirts are in order while mine aren't... :\
Day 140: He's only 13 months... (10/9)
I bought new bottles today. I know you're probably saying to yourself, "Emily, he's 13 months old. He should be off the bottle by now."
You say that like 13 month is old!! He's ONLY 13 months old. Yes, we both talked to the doctor and have been told that it's bad for his teeth but right now it's hard to take something away and not be able to explain to Gavin, why!
We have cut back and he's only getting bottles when he goes to sleep.
I know everyone wants to tell everyone how to raise a baby. I try real hard to keep my opinions about what others do with their children (sometimes I am successful and other times....) I just hope that others know that we are trying but I know what we need to do about the bottle.
Day 131: LIVE ORANGE (9/30)
On Thursday this week OSU played a national televised game against Texas A&M.
It was an amazing game that came down to the last point! I love it now that we live close enough to go to all the OSU games!
Go Pokes!
Day 126: Princess Rye (9/25)
Rye hasn't been wanting to wear bows or headbands lately. However, Aunt Shanda sends Dana Ava's old toys and there was this shell tiara in the toys.
Rye became instantly attached to it. Dana told us that she would wake up and bring Dana the tiara to put it on her and if it fell off she would bring it back.
She wore it to the babysitters and brought it to Stroud with her. It was so cute and such a good story; I wanted to show a picture of Rye and her tiara!
Day 114: My TOMS (9/13)
These are my absolute favorite shoes to wear to work! They are so dang comfortable and stylish too. I try to wear them as much as possible.
For every pair you buy, another pair goes to a child in need. It's the reason they are kinda high on the price but totally worth it!
Day 104: Mockingjay (9/3)
I know, I know, it's not really MY picture but I have a wonderful excuse! I was reading the books because the librarian at my school suggested them. Which by the way, has been one of the best recommendations of all time!
The school had the books Hunger Games and Catching Fire but didn't have the Mockingjay. I just thought it was being loaned out but found out that the library can not buy new books for two year!!
What a shame!
So me being impatient went out and bought the Mockingjay and then donated it to the school.
I can't imagine students who enjoy reading as much as I do just reading the first two books of a series and not being able to read the last book!!
I had donated the book to the school before I took a picture and then went back to take a quick picture and it was checked out!! How wonderful.
So I think my excuse it worthy!!
Day 68: The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (7/29)
It's the last book on Larsson' series. It's a sad, sad day.
I finished his books.
I also know that Stieg Larsson died shortly after handing in the manuscripts for the books. I know that another book will never be written. :(
Again if you haven't already, I strongly recommend these books to any avid reader. They are AMAZING!!
PS Thank you to Gavin for helping me out with my picture or rather for not leaving the book alone for two seconds so that I could take a dang picture!
Day 58: Cheap Sunglasses (7/19)
Whenever I am outside, I HAVE to have sunglasses. I can't live without my sunglasses! :D
Since I wear them everyday all the time, I do have two pairs of Oakley's sunglasses. I keep good care of them, keep them in their cases when I am not wearing them and so on.
However, sometimes a girl just has to have cheap sunglasses!
I found these sunglasses for $8 and I love them.
Day 46: The Girl Who Played with Fire (7/7)
This is what I have been doing in all my spare time, which is hard to find when you have a 10 month old!
Again if you haven't read this series and you like to read definitely look into Larsson's books! They are magnificant.
Back to reading...
Day 32: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (6/23)
Back to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, I was visiting with Sharman, Rennie's aunt, when she mentioned that she just got through reading this amazing book. Unless it's a well know author/book I am somewhat skeptical on exactly what amazing means, so on Sunday when we dropped off Gavin she handed me The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Here is how the jacket reads (the summary):
Harriet Vanger, scion of one Sweden's wealthiest families, disappears over forty years ago. All these years later, her aged uncle continues to see the truth. He hires Mikael Blomkvist, a crusading journalist recently trapped by a libel conviction, to investigate. He is aided by the pierced and tattooed punk prodigy Lisbeth Salander. Together they tap into a vein of unfathomable iniquity and astonishing corruption.
Honestly, to me, I got lost in the mumbo-jumbo the first time I read it and had to read it a second time through. I do pride myself on my ability to read and comprehend well so admitting this was a little difficult for me. I thought it sounded OK not all that interesting but I thought I would try it anyway because it was recommended to me.
IT BLEW ME AWAY!! I LOVED IT.
I am sure that I say that often enough with books but this time I truly mean it. I was kept guessing until the end and I couldn't read it fast enough to figure out what happens. In most books you can see the story line and where it is going but in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo it was unapparent until the end what was going to happen.
I really only suggest books to people that I know many different kinds of readers my like. I don't go around saying, "OMG, you need to read this!" after every book I read but this one is a definite MUST-READ. There are, as far as I know, two more book in the series. I believe the author died shortly after finishing the third book, I may be wrong. But I know that you read the first book you're going to want to read the second two. I have already ordered the second book off of Barnes and Noble's website and am Please let me know if you read or are reading any of Stieg Larsson's series right now. I love talking about good books and rarely get to do so.
Day 22: Mountain Dew (6/13)
Rennie loves Mountain Dew. Seriously. It's the only thing he ever drinks.
Now maybe that's a lie, he does drink Gatorade, maybe even water when we are playing softball or he's been outside all day. Or when we go to a restaurant that doesn't carry Mountain Dew, he will drink Dr. Pepper or Root Beer but other than that it's Mountain Dew. (We have been known to go to certain restaurants because they carry Mountain Dew and not for the food.)
I like the to tell about the time during Lent in which Rennie completely gave up Mountain Dew. Cold turkey. If I recall he went about a week and a half before he came to me and said, "Emily, look at me. I am shaking. I can't physically do this!" From that point on during Lent Rennie limited himself to one Mountain Dew a day. The shakes and the headache went away.
He's addicted, I know that and he knows that. Right now I have FIVE cubes of Mountain Dew in the back of my Jeep because they were on sale and Rennie knows that they will not go to waste. That's 120 cans of Mountain Dew!! That's not counting the bottles of Mountain Dew that Rennie is guaranteed to buy at a gas station. Rennie likes to drink out of the bottle better anyway. That is a lot of Mountain Dew.
Not only is it a lot of Mountain Dew, but a lot of cans and bottles. I find the things every where. You name it I've found a can or bottle there. Some odd places that I've found a can or bottle would be under the bed, the bathroom, Gavin's changing table. Sometimes they are half full and forgotten about. I can always tell when Rennie has driven my Jeep, there is a Mountain Dew left behind.
It's an annoying addiction but it's really part of who Rennie is.
