Day 54: TWINS! (7/18)

This time three years ago, we found out that we were having girl/boy twins. We knew that we were having twins but we didn't know their genders. I love timehop. It's nice to see the past things I've posted. I know that one day my kids will read this blog and see all the things we did together and my thoughts. I like that.

I can't believe three years ago we found out we were having girl/boy twins. We didn't know what we were in for but I wouldn't change it. It's been an amazing experience so far, Rallie and Wes are two of our greatest blessings! Sometimes I look at them and think, we're doing it: TWINS!!

Day 53: True Value Tech (7/17)

The other day, my dad called me and said he needed me to create something for their new hardware store, True Value. After working for years at McDonald's my parents thought they needed to start thinking of retirement. If you know anything about my parents dad, you know that change isn't his thing. He's talked about doing similar things but never buckled down to get it done. However, this time they did it!! They bought the hardware store in Stroud. They've learned to manage it and run it daily. They took over this summer, starting June 1st.

On August 1st, they are planning a grand reopening party. Dad wanted some things created to put in the paper. He called me to help. I'm good on computers. It doesn't take me long to figure something out or create needed documents. I would like to take a coding class that's another post! So whenever my parents need some help with technology they call me. I enjoy it! I feel involved. Dad had me create the above postcard for the paper.

I brought the twins and Sami with me to Stroud. They love being at the store. For my fee, I required dinner out. Mom took us to the new Chinese restaurant on Main street. Rallie never left Nana's side.

If your on Facebook and haven't yet, you need to like: Stroud True Value.

Day 50: Donuts (7/14)

In our house, if you only eat the top of a chocolate donut, you think you are allowed to ask for another donut because the rest of the donut doesn't count.

Day 122: Still Holding Hands (5/2)

Twin bonding must be amazing. They seem to know where each other are all the time. Most of the time they reach or look for the other. Today, when we were changing their diapers they found each other's hand and held on! AMAZING!

Day 120: Outside Playing (4/30)

The weather had been crappy and cold this spring. Finally a day has come that we can go outside and enjoy the weather. The babies went out in their diapers and enjoyed the sun and wind on their sink. Gavin and I played kick ball. It was so beautiful!!

The last picture is of Gavin eating. My picky eater won't eat much but he will eat a hot dog rapped in baloney. "Mom, it's like a taco!"

Day 109: Belly Time (4/19)

My babies like to spend most of their time on their tummy. They are playing with toys and noticing so much of their surroundings. I really enjoy laying on the flor and playing with them every night. I can't believe how fast time if flying. Seems like just yesterday that they were born...

Day 101: Gavin's t-ball Game (4/11)

I love baseball season!! Family, fun and being outside are all of my favorite things. <3>

Day 86: BabyWise (3/27)

I've been doing a little research in hopes of finding something to help the twins sleep better through the night. I found this little true nugget of information. Rallie is a great self-comforter, however my sweet little Wes certainly tests my patience. I just keep saying "This too shall pass" over and over each night.

Day 85: Rice Cereal (3/26)

We tried rice cereal tonight. Rallie is definitely and eater, Wes not so much! They both need a little practice however I think Rallie will do fine. Wes may have to wait a bit, I don't think he's quite ready. It's funny to see how different they are!

Day 82: Rice Cereal (3/23)

Rice cereal is in our close future. I thought I would prepare with a box and new spoons. We are hoping that this will help get the twins through the night or at least sleeping longer than what they are now!

Day 74: Cute Outfits (3/15)

I just enjoyed their outfits today. They looked so dang cute. :)

Day 72: A Morning Nap Together (3/13)

I love that they don't disturb each other. Sleeping together is something they enjoy. Thankfully this happens at night and when one wakes the other sleeps through it. We are very lucky that we have such sleepers.

Day 62: Belly Time Role Change (3/3)

Usually Wes sleeps and Rallie works on lifting her head. This time roles have changed at exactly the same time. It's like they know they aren't going to work on at the same time.

Day 56: Holding Hands (2/27)

Whenever I lay the twins close enough to touch they always end up wrapping their arms. LOVE. They really enjoy being next to each other and will usually calm down faster if the other is near. It's so fun to watch them interact. They will look for each other and sometime coo at one another like they are talk. They follow Gavin around with their eyes and smile at the silly things that he does. They are becoming so aware of their surroundings.

Day 56: Relaxing with Twins (2/25)

After a long day at work, there is nothing I love more than coming home and holding my babies.

Day 54: Softball (2/23)

The first softball game since I was pregnant with the babies back in April 2012. It was so cold but we packed up the entire family and headed to the fields. The babies made it through exactly ONE game before they headed home with Rennie. {I was playing on a women's team.} Gavin stayed with me throughout the day and crashed around 4 for a two hour nap in the bleachers. I really like the idea of my children growing up at the softball fields. However, I think that I am done playing for a while. With three kids {two babies} it's just hard to find someone to watch them on the weekends and I want to spend my weekend time with them instead of trying to juggle playing and watching the kids. We will see what happens this summer.
