Day 70: Dinner Out (8/3)

Sometimes you never realize how close family lives. After spending this Saturday hanging out with my sisters and Lish, Dana told us she would be in town for a conference Monday & Tuesday. Lish mentioned getting dinner and Sami and I chimed in that we wanted to join. It was nice!! Definitely something we should do more often. Lish lives in Norman, Sami in Moore and I live in Mustang (technically Yukon) but we live within 30 mins of each other. It's silly we don't get together more than we do. :)

Day 20: Night out at Fassler Hall

This summer has been so much fun. The kids are all at a fun age. Eisley's personality is really starting to become known, Rallie and Wes are beginning to talk and learning so much and Gavin is a ball of energy. I haven't done much but hang out with them finding fun things to do, so most days when Rennie goes to work, Rallie and Wes say, "No, Mommy, bye-bye?" I love my kids but I need some time to myself.

So getting together with friends is such a blessing, tonight we went out to Fassler Hall in Midtown. I really have enjoyed moving back to Oklahoma City since leaving to move to Guymon. I love this City. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

This year is going to be so much fun because Sami is going to be working with me at Mayfield. Right now she is going to be the Reading teacher on our team. Tonight's get together was the first team Sam joined us. I look forward to this school year and I love that our teachers get together outside of school. It makes going to work much more fun when you work with friends.

Day 17: Mom Diet Coke (6/11)

At lunch today,  I got a Diet Coke today that was for Mom. Gavin pointed it out to be which made it even better.

Day 106: It's Last Day (4/16)

Dropped this Tervis the other day and broke it! I am so sad; liquid is getting in between the layers and turning bad. This is the last day for my OSU tumbler. Sad, sad day.

Day 81: Sparkly Things (3/22)

A new iPhone case and a glass of wine! I love spring break and don't want to see it end.

Day 26: Iced Coffee (1/26)

I LOVE my Keurig. I got it for my 30th {!!} birthday and have used it almost everyday since then. I love the English Breakfast Tea, the Donut Shop coffee and I found this French Vanilla Ice coffee. It's brewed over ice and I add milk and sweetener and I sip on it all day. Now if only I could find it a Carmel Iced coffee I would be in heaven!!

Day 163: Juicy-Juice (4/3)

At PopPop's house, Gavin is allowed to stand on the counters {with his shoes on!} and drink juice out of the bottle!! Gavin loves being at Nana and PopPop's house. He gets aways with so much. :)

Day 162: We Love Smoothies (4/2)

Gavin loves fruit smoothies. One of our favorite things to do on the way home is to stop at Sonic and get a strawberry smoothie. Gavin loves the whip cream and will sit there the whole time with the straw in his mouth.

Day 135: Homemade Cold Coffee (3/6)

I love Pinterest.

I found this homemade recipe for cold coffee. It is so delicious! I make myself a cup almost every morning.

Please be jealous!

Day 76: The Last One (8/6)

Today we bought our last can of formula. Gavin is 11 months old and we think it's time to start him on cow's milk.

I really hope that this change will not be as hard as we may think -- Gavin really LOVES his formula.

I am excited to be saving as much as $100 per month by not buying formula anymore!!

Day 73: The Barn (8/3)

Reason #3473985 out of 1837432563 reasons to come back to Stillwater every now and then!!

Day 30: Ritas on the River (6/21)

After a long day, we went to have margaritas. I haven't had many drinks since Gavin was born so I haven't gone out with the intention of drinking to get a little tipsy. Which was exactly my intention tonight, just to let you know Gavin was staying the night with his aunt, so Rennie and I have the night to ourselves.  (Ew lala!!)

Anyway, we found this place called Ritas on the River and they made a margarita that was HUGE!! I don't think you can image this size so to help, I took another pitcher to show the width of this margarita.

That's Rennie hand that is covering the top of the glass. I drank all of mine and most of Rennies' drink. I have to say that I am a little tipsy and tired.

So I guess that I am going to head to bed. I enjoyed my night out with Rennie and I will enjoy my full night's sleep but I can't wait to see my little boy tomorrow.

Good night! ♥

Day 22: Mountain Dew (6/13)

Rennie loves Mountain Dew. Seriously. It's the only thing he ever drinks.

Now maybe that's a lie, he does drink Gatorade, maybe even water when we are playing softball or he's been outside all day. Or when we go to a restaurant that doesn't carry Mountain Dew, he will drink Dr. Pepper or Root Beer but other than that it's Mountain Dew.  (We have been known to go to certain restaurants because they carry Mountain Dew and not for the food.)

I like the to tell about the time during Lent in which Rennie completely gave up Mountain Dew. Cold turkey. If I recall he went about a week and a half before he came to me and said, "Emily, look at me. I am shaking. I can't physically do this!" From that point on during Lent Rennie limited himself to one Mountain Dew a day. The shakes and the headache went away.

He's addicted, I know that and he knows that. Right now I have FIVE cubes of Mountain Dew in the back of my Jeep because they were on sale and Rennie knows that they will not go to waste. That's 120 cans of Mountain Dew!! That's not counting the bottles of Mountain Dew that Rennie is guaranteed to buy at a gas station. Rennie likes to drink out of the bottle better anyway. That is a lot of Mountain Dew.

Not only is it a lot of Mountain Dew, but a lot of cans and bottles. I find the things every where. You name it I've found a can or bottle there. Some odd places that I've found a can or bottle would be under the bed, the bathroom, Gavin's changing table. Sometimes they are half full and forgotten about. I can always tell when Rennie has driven my Jeep, there is a Mountain Dew left behind.

It's an annoying addiction but it's really part of who Rennie is.
